Sex itself wasn’t causing these UTIs, it was causing the bacteria to be transmitted.

My Chronic, Embedded UTI Story
Anna had suffered with UTIs for a while, but antibiotics always seemed to clear them up. That was until 2000 when she began to experience symptoms of an embedded UTI, this continued in bouts until 2013, when Anna became bed-bound with her symptoms. In 2016, after failing to be treated adequately in Australia, Anna traveled to London and was diagnosed and treated for a chronic UTI. Although not fully healed, Anna’s symptoms have improved enormously.

Pelvic Floor Dysfunction And UTI
Meaghan had experienced a couple of UTIs through college. They were treatable with plenty of fluids and pain relief. Then one day, her UTIs changed. After numerous rounds of antibiotics and dismissals from doctors, Meaghan saw a urologist who finally diagnosed her with hypertonic pelvic floor muscle dysfunction rather than a UTI. Through this diagnosis, Maeghan was referred to a physical therapist and through their work together, her pain is now completely gone.

Overcoming Chronic Pelvic Pain
Emma’s UTI and chronic pain journey started at 17. Eleven years into her journey, Emma was prescribed antibiotic bladder instillations by doctors she found through Live UTI Free.
