Are you 65 years of age or over, and willing to share your experience of living with a UTI? You may be eligible for a new interview study.
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are one of the most commonly diagnosed infections in older adults (65 plus), and account for 25% of all infections.
However, there is a severe lack of research surrounding how adults over 65 personally experience living with recurrent or chronic UTI.
Our hope is that this research will support the development of assessment methods for older adults who experience recurrent UTI, and to do this, we need your help.
We want to learn about your physical and emotional symptoms, and the impact recurrent UTI has on your wellbeing.
The European Association of Urology defines recurrent UTI as 2 or more UTIs in 6 months, or 3 or more in 12 months.
Once you have completed the screening questionnaire, we will determine whether you match the required participant characteristics. If you do, we will be in touch with you via email to arrange a single, online, one-to-one interview lasting approximately 45–60 minutes.
This interview will take place online via video call, using Zoom. Please note that you do not need to own Zoom software to take part, and you will be able to use the meeting link in your normal web browser, e.g., Chrome or Internet Explorer.
We are looking for participants who are:
If you meet these criteria, please complete the screening questionnaire below!

This study aims to look at the experience of participants who are 65 and over and living with recurrent or chronic UTI. The best way to see if you are eligible is to complete the screening questionnaire.
